How to Heal Your Health in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

In a game like Valkyria Chronicles 4, there are very few ways to avoid damage. Because of that, careful management of allies and their positioning is crucial in minimizing the chances of an enemy catching you off guard. Still, let’s say that you did bite off more than you could chew and are now on the verge of losing your unit. What do you do in an emergency? Well, don’t fret, because we’re here to teach you how to heal your health in Valkyria Chronicles 4.

First things first, all characters are able to heal naturally. Whenever a new turn begins, characters will recover a little bit of their lost health. This effect is enhanced even further when they are standing in bases. Since this is a tactical role-playing game, you can use this knowledge to your advantage. Having characters retreat is sometimes a better call than moving forward when low on health. Similarly, capturing enemies bases and having your allies stay there is also a great tactic.

In situations when neither is an easy option, you’ll want to pull out your handy Ragnaid. Every character carries a Ragnaid, and you only need to switch over to it by pressing square once you’re in control of someone. Using the item can be confusing at first, but it’s really quite simple. You can use Ragnaid to either heal health yourself or heal an ally. To heal an ally, press the right bumper to go into aim mode and target them with the Ragnaid. Next, hit the shoot button as you normally would. If you don’t aim at any person, the character will use the Ragnaid on themselves.

And there you have it. If you’re ever in a bind, now you should know what to do to heal your health. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out our wiki page on Valkyria Chronicles 4.
