Jump and Dodge, Your Life Depends On it

Travis Strikes Again Tips and Tricks

It can be incredibly easy to fall into the mindset of simply spamming the Y button on your Nintendo Switch and light attacking your way through waves of enemies. Sometimes, sure, this will work. But when you reach some of the later Death Balls, things become a lot more hectic.

While Dodging (A) will seem like the go-to for getting out of harm’s way quickly. Another handy hint to keep in mind is that a light jump attack (B and Y) will see your character not only avoid any damage from AOE or ground pound attacks, it’ll also see you quickly dart out of your immediate location.

All we can say is that when things start to get trickier, especially in the boss battles from Death Ball four (Golden Dragon GP) onwards, make sure you’re using your jump and dodge abilities. Failing to do so will often leave you a sitting duck, or simply give you no means of avoiding taking damage. Seriously, your life depends on it.
