So you’ve wrapped up your first playthrough of the Back 4 Blood campaign and you’re trying to figure out what you should focus on doing next. Here are six things to do after beating Back 4 Blood.

Perfect Your Deck

First things first, it’s time to get to work adjusting that deck of yours. By completing a playthrough on even the Recruit difficulty, you’ll have unlocked a bunch of cards and earned a load of Supply Points which can now be spent on your Supply Lines to earn even more cards.

So it’s time to put them to good use! There are a ton of different card combinations to really fine-tune your deck to your playstyle, or a specific character’s strengths. This will make some of the other suggestions we’ve got on our list much, much easier.

Try Taking on Veteran/Nightmare Difficulties

You know how we just said that fine-tuning your deck would make some of our other suggestions much easier? Well, here’s the first one.

Now that you’ve played through Back 4 Blood’s campaign, it’s time to try out the harder difficulties if you haven’t already. While Veteran ups the ante a little bit and is the Back 4 Blood equivalent of removing the stabilizers off your bike as a kid, Nightmare is like strapping rocket thrusters to it and giving that a try.

In other words, playing through Back 4 Blood’s campaign on the Veteran or Nightmare difficulties can provide the ample challenge you’re looking for to keep you grinding through swarms of Ridden for hours on end.

We’d strongly advise getting a group of trusted friends together if you’re considering taking on Nightmare difficulty, as the Ridden will throw everything they’ve got at you, and you’ll need strong communication and teamwork to make it out alive.

Grind Out More Supply Lines

The grind never stops in Back 4 Blood, and there’s plenty of Supply Lines for you to spend your hard-earned Supply Points on in order to eke out more cards, emblems, sprays, banners, and other rewards, too.

It’s not the most thrilling of things to do in Back 4 Blood, but if you’re looking to 100% complete the game, keep on spending those Supply Points until there’s nothing left to buy.

Hone Your Skills in PvP

There’s more to Back 4 Blood than killing endless swarms of AI-controlled Ridden, you know. Once you’ve grown tired of the campaign, or just fancy switching things up a bit, have a try of the ‘Swarm’ mode.

This is Back 4 Blood’s PVP mode. Here, you’ll be thrown into one of two teams of four and you’ll rotate between being the Cleaners and the Ridden. The team of Cleaners that survives the longest wins that round. Best of three rounds wins.

It’s a simple premise, but there’s something rather satisfying about being a Tall Boy and mashing the living daylights out of some poor, unassuming Cleaner. Teamwork’s key if you want to put down a strong time when playing as the Cleaners, too, so get a group of friends together and see how your skills fare against others online.

Alternatively, if you’ve got enough mates, get eight of you into a private game and lark around in Swarm. It’s a good laugh, and far better when you can hear the screams and shouts of your unsuspecting targets.

Find the Secrets in the Campaign

You may have completed the various missions in Back 4 Blood, but have you managed to find the secrets in them?

There are 10 levels that contain secrets, each of which is tied to a trophy or achievement for players to unlock. They’re also just pretty fun to go after, so we’d highly recommend checking these out as you go.

The full list of levels with secrets are:

  • The Devil’s Return
  • Search & Rescue
  • The Dark Before the Dawn
  • Blue Dog Hollow
  • The Armory
  • Plan B
  • Job 10:22
  • Dr Rogers’ Neighborhood
  • Remnants
  • The Abomination

So you’ve completed the campaign on Nightmare difficulty, put countless Cleaners in the ground in Swarm mode, and sniffed out all the secrets tucked away in Back 4 Blood’s various missions. What else is there to do?

At this point, you’re likely incredibly close to unlocking all of the game’s achievements, or earning yourself that Platinum trophy if you’re playing on PlayStation consoles. But there are just a few left you’ll need to get.

Specifically, we imagine you might not have killed 10 Ridden with Bob’s Arm for the ‘A Humerus Weapon’ achievement, and you might still have a ways to go to get ‘Good Riddence!’ which tasks you with killing 53,600 Ridden across all game modes.

You can check our Back 4 Blood achievements/trophy list if you need to see which ones you’re missing.
