Getting the Crossbow in The Evil Within 2

Recommended Videos

The crossbow is one of the most versatile and useful weapons in The Evil Within 2, and you can get it very early on in the game. Because of this, we definitely recommend that you go grab it as soon as you’re able to.

Once you unlock the first safe house, O’Neal tells you about a Mobius truck in the area. He says that it’s surrounded by the Lost, but it could contain weapons and supplies that you might find useful. Leave the safe house and use the communicator to track its location. You can also set a waypoint on your map to find it. As you go down the street from the safe house, be sure to crouch as there are a ton of enemies between you and the truck. Just keep to the pavement and stay behind cover, and only continue along your way when the Lost aren’t looking in your direction.

You’ll soon reach the back of the truck, where you’ll find a few bolts and the crossbow itself. You can then equip it and fire a shock bolt into the puddle of water nearby to stun the Lost standing in it.
