You’ll run into this mini-boss a couple minutes into the game, as he pries open a door from the med-wing into the police locker room.

How to Beat the Tutorial Boss (Nitro) in The Surge 2

While he may just be a tutorial boss, you’ll definitely want to not underestimate Nitro, especially if it is your first time playing the series.

The main purpose of Nitro is to instruct you on how to lock on to and target unarmored parts of enemies to deal additional damage.

The best body part to lock onto for the tutorial boss is his head. Target his head and watch his movements, keeping your distance all the while, trying to bait an attack.

For his spin attack, keep your distance and attack during recovery. For the light attack, close the gap and hit him two to three times.

Keep this up for three or four rounds and this tutorial boss will have served his purpose pretty quickly.

To summarize,

  1. Head toward the prison med bay and Nitro appears.

  2. Target his unarmored head.

  3. Keep your distance and try to bait him into attacking.

For the spin attack, keep your distance and attack during recovery. For the light attack, close the gap and hit him 2 to 3 times.

  4. Keep up the same strategy until he is dead.

That is everything you need to know about how to beat the tutorial boss in The Surge 2.
