State of Decay 2 doesn’t just have waves of the same ol’ zombies. It mixes things up a little bit with more powerful, unique ‘special’ zombies in the form of Screamers, Bloaters, Ferals, and Juggernauts. While most of these can be taken care of fairly easily, Juggernauts offer a bit more of a challenge, their hulking masses capable of withstanding tons of damage. As such, you may be wondering what you need to do to kill Juggernauts in State of Decay 2.

The best way to take out Juggernauts in State of Decay 2 is to keep your distance and use a weapon with good range and power. Rifles are particularly effective here, but just be warned that some of them have a slow reload time. Whatever firearm you’re using, rather than simply spraying and praying for the best, take your time and ensure you’re landing headshot after headshot. Eventually, you’ll see a Juggernaut’s face get all messed up, and that means you’re almost there. Continue to dish out damage straight to the face and you’ll eventually see the Juggernaut fall to its knees. Sprint over to it using LB and use RT + X (the same way you’d stealth attack a normal zombie when crouched) to deal a finishing below. A little cutscene will play out as your survivor stabs the Juggernaut to death, and you’ll get a nice bit of Influence as your reward.

Whatever you do, do not get close to a Juggernaut. Their charge attacks can close any distance quickly, and they have a one-hit kill attack that can rip you in half if you give them the chance. So, y’know, maybe don’t do that.
