How to Recover or Restore Health in Splatoon 2

Recommended Videos

Splatoon 2 is a third-person shooter game with single-player and online multiplayer modes, which means that you’re bound to take some damage at some point. When this happens, you’re going to want to find some way to restore health quickly so that you can get back into the fight.

To restore health, you simply need to stay out of harm’s way for a few seconds. Your screen will start to darken around the corners when you take damage, so try to get into cover until those black spots go away. A good tip to keep in mind when you need to restore health in Splatoon 2 is to press the ZL button and transform into a squid while hiding in your own paint color on the ground. Enemies will have a harder time spotting and shooting you that way. Alternatively, you can also try to look for armor packs around the map to give yourself a boost. This is a little riskier as you’ll be exposing yourself, but it is a viable strategy that you can employ when you need to restore health.

More About Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is the follow-up to Splatoon, the inky shooter game released on the Wii U two years ago. Take control of a kid, splat your enemies with ink, and transform into a squid whenever you feel like it.
