The Insomniac Museum is a secret location that has appeared numerous times throughout the Ratchet & Clank series. This location is often based on the Insomniac Games developer offices, featuring some behind-the-scenes content from the game, playable unfinished levels, and showcases of developer tools. With it being such a neat Easter egg, and the most recent entry in the series just coming to PS5, some players are wondering if there’s an Insomniac Museum in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
For those unaware, the Insomniac Museum is an incredibly well-hidden Easter Egg containing a bunch of unreleased content and artwork for the game that it’s found in. So far, the museum has featured in the following Ratchet & Clank games:
- Going Commando
- Up Your Arsenal
- A Crack in Time
- Ratchet & Clank (2016)
Is There an Insomniac Museum in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?
Unfortunately, from our (and the community’s) searches so far, there doesn’t appear to be an Insomniac Museum in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
That being said, there is a chance that it’s just incredibly well hidden. In previous entries in the series, the Insomniac Museum has been accessed by collecting all in-game trophies or using teleporters during very specific time windows.
In Ratchet & Clank (2016) for PS4, the museum could only be accessed in challenge mode once all gold bolts had been earned. This would unlock all six of the museum’s ‘hangars’ containing concept art, screens of imagery throughout the series, old 3D models of characters, weapons and more.
If the Insomniac Museum is that well-hidden in Rift Apart, it could be quite a while until it’s discovered. As soon as there’s any news to share on the existence of the museum in Rift Apart, we’ll update this post and let you know.
