How to Play War Mode in PUBG Xbox One
PUBG has been rolling out new content over the past few months, including the added War Mode. This team deathmatch mode has players fighting in two teams, and when you die, a special plane will roll around and let you pick up right where you left off on the battlefield. The game mode has been live on the PC version for a few months now, but some players might be wondering how they can play the PUBG War Mode on the Xbox One.
The PUBG devs have recently released a new update on the Xbox One that finally added the Sanhok map, although War Mode was still nowhere in sight. This Korean map is definitely a welcome addition to the game, although some fans have been requesting that they finally add in team deathmatch as well. The PUBG developers have addressed the issue on the game’s official forums, where they released the official 1.0 patch notes for the Xbox One version. There, a developer explained:
“For a smooth and healthy matchmaking times for our new contents/features, we’ve decided push each of them live with a time gap (Sanhok → War Mode → Custom Match). This is to let everyone enjoy and delve into each contents with time. Also, it’s to let each contents have enough attention from our players, so players won’t be divided having a long matchmaking time for each content.”
That being said, Xbox One players can look forward to the PUBG War Mode in late September as a weekend event. Meanwhile, Custom Match functionality will be following shortly around mid-October. For now, players will just have to wait for further announcements on when the developers will be rolling out War Mode on Xbox One.
We’ll be updating this post as soon as we learn more details on the coming mode. For more updates on PUBG, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
