How to Wait & Pass Time in Outer Worlds

Unlike the Fallout games you’ll be reminded of when playing Obsidian’s new game, you cannot just wait in one spot to pass time. Instead, you have to go to specific places.

The only place that you can wait and pass time for free in outer Worlds is on your ship. If you’re not nearby your ship though, or are in a town, you do also have the option to purchase a bed at a hotel, where you can stay too.

When resting, you get the option to choose when you want to advance time to, so that you can be ready straight away to head out and tackle the quest you’re in the middle of.
