NBA 2K19 is back at it again with the ultimate basketball simulator for fans of the game. You’re going to be passing the ball, dribbling, shooting three pointers, and more. While you’re on defense, it’s a good idea to remember that you can always steal the ball, though. Here’s how to steal the ball in NBA 2K19.

Whenever you’re on your opponent, on defense, you’re going to first want to get in close to them if they have the ball. Then, you simply need to press Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One in order to attempt a steal. Keep in mind that your attributes will affect your success rate at this. It isn’t too easy to pull off. Otherwise it’d be unfair, right?

But once you’ve mastered it, you’ll ensure that your opponent will need to keep the ball away from you at all costs. Either by moving away, shooting it, or dribbling up a storm.

Don’t go mashing the Square or X button, by the way. You’ll leave yourself vulnerable to be juked and dunked on. It gives a second of stun on your player and you’re not going to be able to do much else if you fail miserably. It’ll leave you vulnerable and a good player will surely know how to get around you and make sure to leave you in the dust.

That’s how you do it, though! That’s how you steal the ball in NBA 2K19. Get out there and become a real thief. If you need any more help with the game, be sure to check out our wiki for it.
