How to Download the Monster Hunter World Beta

Recommended Videos

Monster Hunter World may be hitting PS4 and Xbox One later this month, but for those who just can’t wait until then to go slaying giant, terrifying beasts, there is a beta you can check out. Here’s what you need to know to download and dive into the Monster Hunter World beta.

This is the third and final Monster Hunter World beta, and it’s coming once again exclusively to the PS4. Beginning Jan. 19 at 2 AM UTC/ Jan. 18 at 9 PM EST, players will gain access to a new quest featuring Nergigante, on top of the content seen in previous betas.

In order to download the beta, you’ll simply need to search for Monster Hunter World on the PlayStation Store and select the beta when it appears. The beta will only go live on the PlayStation Store on Jan. 17, however, so don’t go trying to download it before then.

The download weighs in at about 5.5 GB according to the game’s official site, so make sure you’ve got this space free on your hard drive, too. Once it’s downloaded, you’re all set, so cram in as much hunting as you can before the beta ends on Jan. 22 at 1:59 AM UTC/ Jan. 21 at 8:59 PM.

And that’s all you need to know to download the Monster Hunter World beta on PS4. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
