Like any game that spans across multiple platforms, updating to Minecraft 1.15 is going to be different depending on where you play it. 

How to Update to 1.15 on PC

  1. Start by opening your launcher

    To install the launcher, download this link

  2. A new patch should begin to download

  3. If it hasn’t downloaded, press the arrow to the right of the play button

  4. Click on “Latest Release”

  5. Windows 10 users will also auto download. If not, go to “Downloads and updates” in the Microsoft Store and select “get updates”

How to Update to on Xbox One

  1. Go to “My Apps & Games”
  2. Press the more options button when Minecraft is selected
  3. Choose “Manage game & add-ons” and then updates
  4. Updates will be shown here, so if there are no queued, everything is fully installed already

How to Update on PS4

  1. See if you PS4 is set to Auto-downloads
  2. Select the game with the options button
  3. Choose the “check for update” option in the menu
  4. Pending and successful updates are shown here

How to Update on Nintendo Switch

  1. Start the game to check for an update
  2. If no update is active, go to the Nintendo Switch eShop
  3. Search for Minecraft
  4. Designated downloads will show as pending or successful
