Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Tips

At the start of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, coins will be pretty hard to come by. You need coins to buy weapons, and aside from picking them up on the ground, the best way to get them is by performing well in battles. You’ll be rated after each battle, with your rating depending on how many turns you took to complete the fight, and how many characters were left alive by the end. Your rating will take a hit if you let a character die, meaning that you’ll only get a ‘Good’ rating even if you complete the battle in record time, so try to prioritize survival.

Getting a ‘Perfect’ is pretty easy in the first few fights, and every ‘Perfect’ rating will add to your overall chapter performance. Do well enough, and you’ll get extra coins for your effort. The extra coins are definitely worth your time, as weapons can feel very expensive during the early hours, so try to get a ‘Perfect’ rating whenever you can.

As another general rule of thumb, take the high ground in a battle whenever it’s available. You’ll deal more damage from a higher elevation, and you can get a higher shot percentage on foes hiding behind partial cover. Don’t clump all three of your characters together, and always look for pipes and other shortcuts on the map so you can get a better angle on your foes. If Rabbid Peach is a permanent member of your team (like she is on mine), keep her close to a character you plan on using as an aggressor. She can heal them every two turns, and she can also soak up damage with her Shield technique if the need arises.
