How to Enter & The Basic Rules
First things first, you must be at least 16 years old to enter and be a resident of one of the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, or Canada. Those are deal-breakers right there.
Next, sign up via the Registration Page right here. During the process you’ll select your team and will not be able to change for the rest of the event, so choose wisely. You’ll also need an EA account to participate, so make sure you have that set up if you don’t already.
The deadline to enter is Sept. 28, so don’t dilly dally.
Madden 21 Club Championship Calendar
Phase 1 – Round 1
Once you’re signed up, the leaderboards will open up on Sept. 10 and will be open until Oct. 12, roughly a whole month. This first phase will weed down the Club Championship player pool considerably.
Phase 2 – Online Elimination
After the first phase ends on Oct. 12, players that place in the top 8 of both leaderboards for each team for each platform will receive an invitation to compete in an online elimination round.
Make sure to check your email after the first phase to see if you’ve been invited to compete in the next round because if you don’t respond within two days, the Madden 21 Club Championship is moving on without you.
This phase will have 1024 players total and will break down like this.
- 512 Competitors (256 on each supported platform) that consists of 16 competitors (8 on each Supported Platform) from the top of each Club’s Salary Cap Ranked (“SCR”) leaderboard
- 512 Competitors (256 on each supported platform) that consists of 16 Competitors (8 on each supported platform) from the top of each Club’s MUT Champions leaderboard.
If you’re in this phase, make sure to read the full rules here to catch when your team is scheduled to play their games as it’s broken down into separate “waves.”
The online competitions are scheduled to end by Oct. 31.
Phase 3 – Live Events and Finals
If you made it this far, you’re objectively very good at Madden 21. You’ll be invited by EA to attend a live event and the two winners from each club (from the two platforms) will play each other to determine a champion. If you reach this point of the tournament, you’re officially “in the money.”
Then, the club champions for each team will participate in a 32-person tournament to determine the final champion for the year.
The whole process starting with the determination of the individual club champions and the Finals will take place roughly between Nov. 10 and Feb. 6, 2021. Final dates are still TBD.
