How to Use Charms and What They Do in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road

The Charms in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road resemble the Wayfinder charms that are found in pretty much every past KH title. And even though they aren’t meant to bring you luck, they do something that’s arguably more important.

But before we go over that, it’s important to know how you get these items. Fortunately, they’re not too difficult to obtain. You’ll get a good amount of Charms by simply playing through the story and grinding World Battles. The Beginner and Weekly Missions have plenty of opportunities for you to stock up.

As for what they do, these items can revive a player after they have been knocked out. It can be a critically important item during some of the most intense battles. Once you get knocked out, you’ll get a message asking you if you want to Cancel and go back to the Home screen or OK and use a Charm.

There is also a third option that lets you automatically use Charms when you get knocked out so you can keep playing uninterrupted.

That said, if you get knocked out, the best practice is to look at your opponent’s remaining HP. If you took off more than half of their HP, then you’ll likely be able to pull off a victory. If that’s not the case, then get ready to use another Charm after you get KO’d again.

Here’s a quick rundown on how to use Charms and what they do in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road:

  1. Enter a battle

A quest or a World Battle will be good enough to accomplish what we’re going for here.

  2. Get Knocked Out

It’s not a pleasant thing to do, but that’s what Charms are for.

  3. Revive yourself with a Charm

When you get KO’d it’ll ask you if you want to use a Charm or not to revive yourself. You can also turn on auto Charm use here so it just does it without asking next time.

That’s all there is to know about how to use Charms and what they do in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. If you want to avoid the situation where you’ll need to use a Charm, then check out our guides on how to Reload your Deck faster and how to use Bonus Time.
