What Are FIFA Points & FUT Coins?
FIFA Points are a premium currency that can be purchased within the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team mode. These can be used to buy packs from the in-game store, as well as purchase ‘Draft’ entries.
Coins, on the other hand, are a currency that can only be earned in-game. These can be earned by completing matches, selling players on the transfer market, and in some cases, completing SBCs, or Objectives (in-game challenges). These are used to purchase cards from the transfer market.
How to Transfer FIFA Points from FIFA 22 to FIFA 23
Assuming that the process works the same as it did when transferring points from 21 to 22, you won’t need to do a lot to get the transfer going. When you log into Ultimate Team for the first time on FIFA 23 on console or PC, you’ll automatically be asked if you’d like to transfer your balance of FIFA Points from FIFA 22 to 23.
Confirm that you want to transfer your points, and wait for the game to complete the transfer. You’ll now be able to spend them on packs to give your new Ultimate Team a bit of a head start.
It’s worth noting that you cannot perform the transfer via the Web or Companion apps.
Can You Transfer Coins from FIFA 22 to FIFA 23?
Unfortunately, any coins that you’ve racked up from trading cards on the transfer market, winning matches, and completing SBCs in FIFA 22 cannot be transferred to FIFA 23.
This is because it’d essentially break the in-game economy in FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team mode, with some players having racked up millions and millions of coins over the course of FIFA 22. That would be enough to buy all of the best players in the game, essentially eliminating the grind.
