Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is finally out, giving fans access to a slew of iconic multiplayer modes, as well as few new ones. In order to slide in Modern Warfare 2, you’ll need to push O, B on your PlayStation or Xbox controller, or push C while running on PC. If you press either of those buttons without running, you will change stances instead of sliding.

As you can imagine, sliding is a very helpful mechanic. Use the slide movement to get in and out of cover, or you can completely bamboozle your opposition by sliding right at them. Will it work? Probably not, but it’ll be a great way to throw the element of surprise at them.

If you don’t like the predetermined button for sliding, head into your settings, and you can change it to your liking under the “Button Layout Preset.” Some players prefer to switch the melee and sliding buttons for a more natural experience.

That is everything you need to know on how to slide in CoD Modern Warfare 2. While you’re here, be sure to check out all of our other Modern Warfare 2 guides, such as the how to mute other players in your multiplayer experience, and how big the install size will be.

I love almost every type of video game, and when I'm not playing them, I'm writing about them... a lot. I have too many favorites to list so feel free to ask about them! Long live Ugly Sonic and the Resident Evil 3 Remake (this is a meme btw).
