Try to Get Boons and Centaur Hearts Early On
Once you’ve got a good handle on the game and are ready to start doing proper runs to try to reach the end, it’s time to start picking up helpful Boons to give you a better shot at surviving. It doesn’t really matter which god you get your Boons from, but generally, you do want to get Boons that enhance your regular attack, special, and cast.
The cast, in particular, is important as it can be enhanced with tons of different effects to make it more useful. Ares’ Blade Rift and Dionysus’ Hangover AoEs are personal favorites, and can really help to create space when things get too hectic. And if you’re looking to create a more defensive build, Athena provides a lot of big defense Boons and also allows you to deflect attacks.
Finally, you’ll also want to grab Centaur Hearts whenever you can. These will increase your max health by 25, which is extremely helpful as you get to the third area.
