Godfall: How to Save Your Game

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Godfall has arrived on PS5 and PC, and brings with it a big ol’ loot grind and action-packed melee combat that feels oh so satisfying to use to take down all those loot-filled enemies. In this guide, we’ll be talking you through how to save your game in Godfall, so you can make sure your mission progress and loot is all safe and sound before you exit out of the game.

Unfortunately, Godfall doesn’t have a manual save option. You can’t simply select an option from the menu or within the game’s world to record your progress. Instead, the game uses an auto-save system which ensures your progress is saved at regular intervals.

How to Save in Godfall

The best way to save your game in Godfall is to wait until you’ve finished a mission and return to the Sanctum. When you’re here, you can then press Esc on PC, or the Options button on PS5 to open the menu, and then select ‘Quit Game.’

Properly exiting out of the game like this ensures that all of your data is saved on Godfall’s servers. Next time you load up the game, you’ll find that you’re back in the Sanctum with all of your progress and items intact from the last mission you completed.

Can You Save During Missions?

At the time of writing, you cannot save your game during a mission. If you try and quit out of the game mid-mission, when you next load up your game you’ll find yourself back at the Sanctum with none of your mission progress recorded. You’ll have to start over again.
