How to Get Aragami Abilities & What They Do in God Eater 3
God Eater 3 takes players back to the apocalypse, this time as a brand new version of God Eater known as AGE. Like past games, there are a ton of different equipment and combat options open to you, and not everything is made immediately clear. One thing that’s very easy to miss is Aragami Abilities, which probably aren’t what you’re thinking. Here’s how to get Aragami Abilities and what they do in God Eater 3.Â
Aragami Abilities aren’t permanent abilities that you need to equip or learn or anything. Instead, they function as brief damage boosters in combat, but the game never explains how this system works.
Basically, whenever you devour an Aragami your God Eater will immediately analyze the Oracle Cells from that specific type, and increase your damage against that specific type. Your damage will only be boosted against that specific type of Aragami until you devour another one, in which case you Aragami Abilities will then be tuned to that enemy type.
This feature makes it even more important to strategically approach battles in God Eater 3, and focus on taking down one enemy first. If you’re jumping between enemies you won’t really get the full benefit of Aragami Abilities, but if you focus on taking out one type of enemy first, you will.
It should be noted that even with Aragami Abilities you’ll still need to take the enemy’s elemental weaknesses into account if you’re really wanting to maximize the damage your bullets can cause.
Remember you can switch your bullet type by switching to gun mode with R1, then holding down square or triangle and using L1 or R1 to cycle through your different types. Before the start of each mission, you can see the elemental types of the main Aragami in their portrait.
The type is represented by icons in the lower right of their portrait, with things like a snowflake for ice or a flame for fire.
That’s everything you need to know about how to get Aragami Abilities and what they do in God Eater 3. For even more tips and guides make sure to search Twinfinite.
