Can You Get Fortnite on Xbox 360?

Recommended Videos

Fortnite has become a bit of a runaway success for Epic Games since it released its PvP mode, Battle Royale. While the PvE mode isn’t quite as enjoyable, it still offers up plenty of base-building fun. The main appeal of the game, however, is its Battle Royale mode which is currently available on a number of platforms. That has some players wondering if you can get Fortnite on Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, the game is currently only available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will likely never come to the Xbox 360 and PS3. This is because these older systems do not support Unreal Engine 4 – the engine that Fortnite runs on. Furthermore, the Xbox 360 and PS3 are likely not powerful enough to offer the kind of performance that we’re currently seeing on PS4 and Xbox One, and it’s unlikely players would want a far inferior experience than what is currently offered.

As such, if you’ve been hoping Epic Games might announce Fortnite for the Xbox 360, you may want to look into installing the game on your PC, or picking up an Xbox One or PS4 if that’s not an option. That is, if the need for a Victory Royale is that strong.
