Where the Meteor Hit in Fortnite Battle Royale

In the run-up to the release of Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, all the hype was surrounding the meteor that was on collision course for the map. Where would it hit? What location on the map would be destroyed? Those questions were being asked by Fortnite fans all the time and theories were thrown out left, right, and center. Now that the update has arrived, we know the answers.

The meteor has indeed hit the map, taking out Dusty Depot to be exact. What was known as Dusty Depot before the Season 4 update is now called Dusty Divot and it looks very different. If you open the map after falling from the Battle Bus, you’ll immediately see a huge crater in the area Dusty Depot was. Part of one of the warehouses still stands, with the center of the crater being filling with what looks like a scientific examination operation, probably erected to look at the fallen meteor. The new cinematic that you’ll see when booting Fortnite up shows the crash site emitting some kind of radiation, which could be linked to the superhero skins we’re going to see in Season 4.

That’s all you need to know about where the meteor hit in Fortnite Battle Royale. For more on the game, check out our extensive wiki guide.
