How to Takedown Enemies in For Honor

Recommended Videos

Despite being on the market for the past two years, For Honor may be a game you are only just finding yourself starting to play. In multiple promotions, Ubisoft has begun giving the Starter Edition of For Honor away for free, causing an uptick in new players surging to the game. In For Honor you will be getting orders to complete in between matches. These vary greatly and are a great source of resources for purchasing content within the game or upgrading your weapons and armor. Among the easiest ways to gain these resources in-game are orders that require you to complete a set number of Takedowns. Now, what exactly is a Takedown?

In For Honor, a Takedown simply represents getting a kill or a kill-assist with your teammates. With that in mind, to acquire Takedowns in For Honor all you must do is deal damage to player-controlled characters within a match and land a killing blow. If you have landed a hit on an enemy that is downed by a teammate, you will also receive credit for the Takedown. Providing damaging or defensive buffs to your allies does not grant you credit towards Takedowns (though could help in putting you into the situations that would help you do so).

Now, if you are working on an order that requires a set number of Takedowns in the game, you will want to make sure you are playing in the correct game mode. These orders are generally tied to a specific game mode and will not count towards other orders.
