Does Far Cry 5 Have New Game Plus?

Recommended Videos

As has been the case in most Far Cry games, as you make your way through the story in Far Cry 5, you’ll be rewarded with skill points and money that allow you to unlock new skills and buy new weapons. Therefore, once you finish the game, you’ll be much stronger than when you started. You’ll have more skills at your disposal and you’ll have more weapons to choose from to approach situations in different ways. You may be wondering, then, whether Far Cry 5 has a New Game Plus mode that would allow you to take everything you’ve learned and unlocked into another playthrough.

Unfortunately, there is no New Game Plus option in Far Cry 5. If you start the game again after finishing it, your items and skills do not carry over. You will have to start with the same basic pistol and assault rifle you did the first time. You will have to begin earning skill points and money once again to unlock your favorite items. Ubisoft hasn’t said anything about the possibility of a New Game Plus option coming in the future, but if they do, we’ll be sure to update you here.

That’s all you need to know about whether there’s a New Game Plus in Far Cry 5. For more on the game, check out our wiki guide.
