HOW TO PLAY Online Multiplayer in The Escapists 2

Recommended Videos

Staging a prison break on your own is fun, but The Escapists 2 makes things more exciting by letting you get into some online multiplayer action with your friends as well. The online multiplayer functionality is available across all platforms that the game is currently available on, so you don’t have to worry about that when deciding where to get the game.

To play with a friend, all you have to do is choose a prison to escape from in the menu. After that, pause the game, and then select the person from your friends list that you want to invite to join the session. Do note that if you want to play with someone on your friends list, you’ll need to set the game to Private before inviting them to the options menu. If not, you can leave the setting alone and play with other people online instead.

However, also note that only the host player’s stats and progress will get saved at the end of each session. The guest player will not be able to gain anything out of the session to take back to their own save files. Their stats will also not be saved when the host quits the game.

There is also a versus mode available from the main menu that allows you to race against other players or your friends online to see who can break out of the prison first. Simply select versus mode from the menu, then set the game to Public or Private.

That’s all you need to know about online multiplayer in The Escapists 2 for now. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more information on the game.
