Look, we get it: You play your Souls games for their gameplay. While it’s great Demon’s Souls has cutscenes and dialogue to help tell its story, you’d rather get past them as soon as possible. That’s why we’re here to walk you through how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Demon’s Souls with a detailed guide.
How to Skip Cutscenes and Dialogue in Demon’s Souls
Skipping cutscenes and dialogue in Demon’s Souls is incredibly easy to do, and requires a pretty minimal amount of input on your part.
While a cutscene is playing, you can hold down the X button to skip past it and return to the gameplay quickly. You’ll know it’s working when an X Button icon appears on the lower right corner of the screen, ands a white circle starts to appear around the icon. Once it circles all the way around the icon, you’ll be dropped back into active gameplay, albeit sans any info the cutscene may have provided.
Skipping dialogue in Demon’s Souls, meanwhile, is just as easy. While talking to NPCs, you can skip past their bits of dialogue by pressing the X Button. There’s no way to skip entire conversations with NPCs though, so if you start one up, you’ll need to skip each bit individually.
That’s all there is to it really. It’s easy to get your head around after doing it once or twice, and you shouldn’t have to worry about any cutscenes messing up your gaming flow once you do.
Hopefully this cleared up how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Demon’s Souls. For more on the game, feel free to check out some of our other guides. They have tons of tips, tricks and info on other topics like how to return to human form and how to save your game.
