CoD Vanguard Zombies: How to Pack-a-Punch Weapons

With the release of CoD Vanguard, players can once again spend countless hours gunning down wave after wave of the undead. Vanguard Zombies adopts a similar format to Outbreak introduced in Black Ops Cold War, where players will head through portals, take on missions and then return to a hub world to take on another and purchase any upgrades they may want. In this guide, we’ll be talking you through how to pack-a-punch weapons in Vanguard Zombies so you can outlast the horde for longer.

Pack-a-Punching Weapons in CoD Vanguard Zombies

To pack-a-punch a weapon, head to the machine on the north side of the fountain in Fountain Square on the Stalingrad hub map. It’s quite easy to spot, just look for the machine with the blue orb glowing right in the center of it.

When you reach the pack-a-punch machine, with the weapon you want to upgrade equipped, press Square/ X to interact with it, and then purchase the Level 1 upgrade to begin with. This costs 7,500 so make sure you’ve got enough racked up to purchase this.

All Pack-a-Punch Upgrades

Once you’ve purchased the Level 1 upgrade, you can purchase the Level 2 upgrade for 15,000 and the Level 3 upgrade after that for 30,000. We’ve listed what each upgrade does below:

  • Level 1 – Large Damage Increase | Enhances Weapon Attributes
  • Level 2 – Massive Damage Increase
  • Level 3 – Enormous Damage Increase

Pack-a-Punching weapons are more or less required if you plan to get any further than round 10 or so, perhaps even earlier. As such, we recommend making this a priority purchase ahead of perks and equipment, but only spend the cash on weapons you plan to use for the duration of the game.
