Getting JP Fast in Bravely Default 2

Job Points, otherwise referred to as JP, are required to level up the various jobs you get in Bravely Default 2 and unlock new skills and abilities.

You’ll naturally gain JP by beating enemies in combat encounters, but you’ll find that the leveling process slows down pretty significantly as your levels get higher.

Thankfully, there are a few ways you can get JP fast in Bravely Default 2, which we’ve listed down below.

Underdog Bonus

The first method of getting JP fast is by making use of the Underdog Bonus. You’ll get this bonus whenever you’re facing an enemy that’s of a higher level than you, and this applies to your job level as well.

For instance, even if your character level is higher than an enemy’s, if your job level is only at 1, you’ll still be eligible for the Underdog Bonus, which gives you a nice JP boost. This means that whenever you want to level a new job, it can be worth your time to power through easier battles in previous areas to bring that job up to speed.

Battle Chains

Aside from the Underdog Bonus, you can also use chains to increase your JP and experience gains. Whenever you see enemies close to each other in the overworld or in a dungeon, attacking one of them can cause a chain reaction that pulls the other enemy into the battle as well.

By defeating the onslaught of enemies in a single battle, your JP multiplier will give you a big JP boost as well.

Consumables

Finally, if you really want to bypass grinding through battles in Bravely Default 2, you can make use of JP Orbs instead. These items give you free JP when used on a character, and they can be obtained through side quest completion, opening chests, and boat expeditions.

The most reliable way of getting JP Orbs is by sending your boat out on expeditions whenever you can. You’ll usually get items like JP Orbs, Experience Orbs, and Booster Buns, which are all extremely helpful.

That’s all you need to know about how to get JP fast in Bravely Default 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
