How to Store Items in the Bank in Borderlands 3

The scenario of having some loot you don’t want to sell or drop, but don’t want to use right away clogging up your inventory is an extremely common one.

Like previous Borderlands games you do have your own personal vault, your bank, that you can store items in for safekeeping. It’s not exactly hidden from you, but the game doesn’t go out of its way to let you know of its existence. You have to seek it out on your own.

Your bank is located in your room in Sanctuary which right near the fast travel station and the lost loot machine on the opposite end of the ship where Lilith and the Navigation Station are. It’s marked on your map with a piggy bank icon. If you fast travel to Sanctuary, you’ll be taken near there.

You initially can store up to ten additional items in the bank, but you can upgrade your capacity by purchasing SDUs from Marcus in his room on Sanctuary.

Don’t be shy about using it because you’ll need all the inventory space you can get. Dropping weapons and other loot are a waste of cash, and you’ll need lots of cash to upgrade all your SDUs and make sure that you have your ammo and weapons all in the best possible shape. So definitely go store those items.
