Destiny 2 is the king of looter shooters right now. No matter how hard they try, other games can’t keep their grinds as compelling as Bungie manages to make Destiny 2’s. The persistent online game blends silky-smooth shooting against an epic sci-fi backdrop that sees you jetting off to different planets to deliver a big dose of pain to the different alien races.
With the base game of Destiny 2 now free, the Upgrade Edition is what you’ll want to pick up if it gets you hooked. This offers up both the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions to get you up-to-date ahead of the Beyond Light expansion releasing on Sept. 22.
Bungie’s already committed to bringing fresh content to Destiny 2 up until at least 2022, with The Witch Queen releasing in 2021, and Lightfall coming the year after.
