Battlefield 1
Best EA Games
World War I has been an underused setting in video games but EA empowered DICE to give WWI a try with Battlefield 1 and it worked out wonderfully.
Battlefield 1 featured an interesting take on its single-player campaign. It was a collection of war stories from across the globe rather than one long campaign. While some prefer a cohesive story, the war stories format was well received by many.
The multiplayer featured awe-inspiring maps from all over: Italy, France, Germany, Ottoman Empire and more. The maps were diverse in appearance, and in gameplay as it allowed players to engage on land, in the air, and at sea.
The gunplay, as is usual in Battlefield, felt great, and although it’s not the world’s most realistic WWI game, it was still neat to ride around on horses with sabers and have to have gas masks ready for when gas was thrown into your trench.
