Dodging and Evading Enemy Attacks

To dodge attacks in Battletoads, simply press RT on your Xbox controller and move the left analog stick in whichever direction you want to move.

When you do this, your character will quickly evade in the direction you were holding while holding RT. Keep in mind, you can quickly evade in one direction, before evading in another by simply using the dodge input immediately after again.

The dodge is useful for avoiding getting hit by enemy punches and projectiles, and failure to do so will cost you dearly. Keep in mind that the best form of attack in Battletoads is sometimes defense, and this is one of the best maneuvers you have at your disposal.

Dodging and Attacking

Straight after performing a dodge in Battletoads, you may find that your enemy is wide open for an attack. There are three different attacks available to you in Battletoads, and each of these are assigned to face buttons on your Xbox One. We’ve listed them all down below for your convenience:

  • X – Regular Strike
  • Y – Launch Attack

It’s worth pointing out that players can also perform a Smash Hit by pressing X and B at the same time. Using all of these attacks in various orders results in a slew of combos that can stun or defeat enemies.
