How to Level Up in ARK

Recommended Videos

Both yourself and any creatures you tame in ARK can level up. Doing so increases statistics and unlocks engrams, and players can level up 130 times, while creatures will level up 71 times. There are quite a few ways to level up in ARK, but some of them are better than others, offering more experience for your time. Here’s everything you need to know about how to level up in ARK: Survival Evolved.

The best way to rank up in ARK is to hunt and kill dinosaurs. Smaller creatures and less violent herbivores are easier to take on, but the more fearsome carnivores grant you more XP. You probably won’t be able to take on the likes of the T-Rex until you’ve leveled up significantly, so taking on the less threatening ones might be wise.

You can also rank up yourself, not any tamed creatures, by crafting. By gathering Fiber, you can create lots of Cloth Hats, which will grant you a ton of XP and help you to gain some levels. You can also craft items towards building your base once you get to that stage. Also, using the Lystrosaurus around your base will help level up your tamed dinos by giving a boost to earned XP. The boost only lasts five minutes, however.

That’s all you need to know about how to raise your level in ARK. For more on the game. be sure to search for Twinfinite.
