First off, make sure that you have the latest update downloaded for Animal Crossing New Horizons. And after that, you simply have to wait till Feb. 15 for the event to unlock.

Unfortunately, similar to the Halloween and Toy Day events from the end of last year, it seems that the Festivale event is also time-locked. This means that even if you have the update installed, you can’t time travel forward to start the event early. You’ll have to wait till the 15th to experience it, at the same time as everyone else.

However, there is a bit of good news here. From the first of February till the 15th, you’ll be able to log into the game every day and purchase Festivale-related items from Nook’s Cranny, as well as new themed clothing from the Able Sisters’ store.

In addition to that, there are other seasonal items to purchase as well. The store catalogue will have seasonal items for Valentine’s Day and Setsubun which you can purchase within the month before they go out of rotation for a year.

Once it’s the 15th, boot up Animal Crossing again and you should have an announcement from Isabelle stating that Pavé is now visiting your island and can be located outside the Resident Services building.

That’s all you need to know about how to start the Festivale event in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
