marvel ultimate alliance 3, voice cast, voice actors

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has just launched on Nintendo Switch, marking the first time that the series has been exclusive to one platform. Since you can play as pretty much any Marvel hero, there are loads of voice actors in the game, some of whom are big names. In case you recognize them and want to know who they are, here’s everything you want to know about who the voice actors of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 voice cast are.

There are a lot of people in the cast, from returning characters to some new ones, with many actors playing more than one character. However, you’re likely to know a lot of them.

All the Voice Actors in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Voice Cast

James C. Mathis III – Black Panther/Luke Cage/Ronan

James C. Mathis III is a go-to of sorts to play Black Panther in video games, even playing the character in the likes of Disney Infinity. Elsewhere, you may also know him as King in Sleeping Dogs, Matutero in Dead Island, and Sigint in the Metal Gear Solid 3 titles. In Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, he also plays Ronan the Accuser (who he’s played elsewhere before) and Luke Cage.

Steve Blum – Venom/Wolverine/Green Goblin/Bullseye

Playing the most characters out of everyone in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s voice cast is Steve Blum. As Venom, Wolverine, Green Goblin and Bullseye, you’ll hear his voice a lot, in different tones. He’s played Wolverine in a lot of other shows and games, but you may also know him as Gray in Red Dead Redemption 2, Sam in Metro Exodus, Sauron in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, and Walther Dahl in Prey.

Allegra Clark – Spider-Gwen

After being given a boost in popularity by the excellent Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, Spider-Gwen is now being played by Allegra Clark in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Clark plays Bloodhound in Apex Legends, Nakmor Kesh in Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Victoria Sterling in Friday the 13th. This isn’t the only big Switch exclusive she is in this month, either, as she will play Dorothea and Shamir in the English version of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Nadji Jeter – Miles Morales

Since Spider-Man is Peter Parker in this universe, as the voice actor carries over from the PS4 exclusive, Miles Morales is separate. He’s also played by his Spider-Man voice actor, though. He hasn’t played many other video game characters, but you may know him as Sam in The Last of Us, and he has appeared in movies like Grown Ups 2.

Yuri Lowenthal – Spider-Man – Voice Actors in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Voice Cast

With all the conversations buzzing around Far From Home about whether Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker ever, Yuri Lowenthal is often forgotten. He returns to play the web slinging hero from last year’s PS4 exclusive after being excellent in it. If you didn’t play it though, and you should have done, you may also know him as Marth/Alucard in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or Davis in Titanfall 2.

Erica Lindbeck – Captain Marvel/Psylocke

Erica Lindbeck may not be as familiar with playing her characters as some other members of Marvel Ultimate Alliance’s voice cast, but she’s played Marvel characters before having been Black Cat in last year’s Spider-Man PS4. Elsewhere, you might know her as Celica in Fire Emblem Warriors, Anemone in NieR: Automata, and Futaba Sakura in Persona 5. She plays both Captain Marvel and Psylocke in the new Switch exclusive.

Kathreen Khavari – Ms. Marvel

A significant portion of Kathreen Khavari’s acting roles have come as Ms. Marvel in games and shows before Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, such as the Avengers Assemble and Spider-Man TV shows. Elsewhere, she’s appeared in the Blue Bloods and Big Little Lies shows on the small screen.

Liam O’Brien – Dr. Strange/Black Bolt/Destroyer/Nightcrawler/Red Skull

The only member of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 voice cast to play five different characters, Liam O’Brien does the voice for Dr. Strange, Black Bolt, Destroyer, Nightcrawler, and Red Skull. You may also know him as Umnak from Horizon Zero Dawn, Gollum in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, and The Warden in For Honor. You’ll likely hear his voice quite a lot.

Kari Wahlgren – Elsa Bloodstone/Proxima Midnight/Wasp

Playing three characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, you’ll hear Kari Wahlgren’s voice a lot. Early on, Proxima Midnight will appear, who she has played in the Guardians TV show before, and her other two characters will make their entrance later on. You may recognise her from playing Gremory/Lindsay Blair in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11, and Starfire in Injustice 2.

Fred Tatasciore – Ghost Rider/Beast/Hulk

Another voice actor who plays three character is Fred Tatasciore, who voices Ghost Rider, Beast and Hulk. He’s another voice actor you’ll probably know, too. Just in recent years he’s played Doujun / Jinzaemon Kumano in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Nikolai Belinski in Black Ops 4, Rhino in Spider-Man PS4, and Xur in Destiny 2. He’s also played loads of DC and Marvel villains in TV shows.

Chris Cox – Hawkeye/Colossus

The often under appreciated Hawkeye and Colossus, who is coming to the game as part of the Expansion Pass, are being played by Chris Cox. You may know his voice as Star-Lord, Happy Hogan, or Hawkeye in other Marvel video games and Glumshanks in the Skylanders games from the last few years. His most well known role however, is as Pecker in the Jak and Daxter games.

Laura Bailey – Black Widow

Another high profile acting name to be part of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s voice cast, Laura Bailey plays Black Widow. She’s played other Marvel characters in things as well, including Enchantress, Captain Marvel, and Black Widow again.

Falcon is played in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 by Bumper Robinson (what a great name) and you can play as him pretty early on in the game. Aside from playing Cyborg, Falcon again, and Captain America in other superhero games, he’s played small roles in AAA games like Rage 2, Doom, and Fallout 4, but nothing you’ll likely recognise.

Eric Loomis – Iron Man

While most Marvel fans know Tony Stark and Iron Man as Robert Downey Jr., Eric Loomis probably has even more experience playing the character. He’s played the billionaire/headline hero in the likes of Iron Man TV shows, 4D experiences, Marvel vs. Capcom games, and movie tie-in games. He returns to play him once again in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

She doesn’t appear early in the game, and isn’t one of the most iconic of Marvel characters, but Elektra is played by Kathryn Cressida in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Nolan North – Rocket/Deadpool

Also returning to voice Rocket Racoon is arguably the biggest name in video game voice acting – Nolan North. Of course, you’ll know him as Uncharted’s Nathan Drake, The Ghost in Destiny 2, or Modi in God of War, among other things. You may even recognise him from playing Peter Hastings in the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars. He’s also got a great YouTube channel with his voice acting friend Troy Baker, called Retro Replay, in which he plays old games.

Adam Harrington – Groot

Like Scott Porter, Adam Harrington continues to play Groot after doing so in the Telltale series. He’s lent his voice to other Telltale games too, having played Bigby Wolf in The Wolf Among Us and Matches in the Back to the Future game. He’s played a load of smaller roles in high profile video games too.

Scott Porter – Star Lord

One of the first characters you’re introduced to in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and self-proclaimed leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord is played by Scott Porter. This isn’t Porter’s first time playing the cocky hero either, having been his voice in Telltale’s Guardians series. His played other character in Marvel’s catalogue too, having been Harry Osborne in the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game, Winter Soldier in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, and Cyclops in Marvel Heroes. Completing the returning Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy cast lineup is Brandon Paul Eells, who plays Drax. There aren’t actually that many other games you’ll know him from. He has played characters in Battle Chef Brigade and Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, as well as playing The Daves in Watch Dogs.

Nebula

You’re not actually able to play as Nebula in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, but she appears near the beginning of the game as someone to fight. She may be somewhat of a minor character in the game, but her voice actor is certainly notable. She is played by Ashly Burch, who you’ll likely know as either Chloe Price in the Life Is Strange games, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, or Cassie Cage in Mortal Kombat X. She has also returned from the Telltale Guardians series to voice her character.

Isaac C. Singleton Jr. – Thanos – Voice Actors in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Voice Cast

Thanos, just like in the recent MCU movies, is the big bad of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and he is played by Isaac C. Singleton Jr. While he’s another member of the voice cast who has played his character in other shows and games, including Fortnite’s Limited Time Mode, you may also know him from Quake Champions, Spider-Man PS4, or Call of Duty: WWII.

He is also due to play Barrett Wallace in next year’s Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Jason Spisak – Loki

While he’s played small roles in a lot of TV shows and movies, you’ll likely know the voice actor of Loki in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Jason Spisak, from his video game acting work. As Raymond ‘Skizzo’ Sarkoski in Days Gone, Klegg in Rage 2, Karney in Anthem, and Scorpion in Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4, he’s had quite a few high profile roles in the last 12 months.

Tom Kane – Magneto

Unlike some other members of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s voice cast, Tom Kane, who plays Magneto, is known for working on a particular franchise that isn’t anything to do with superheroes. Kane is actually most known for his work on Star Wars, across TV shows like The Clone Wars and video games like Battlefront II, as Admiral Akbar and Yoda. He’s played those two characters a lot, but you may also recognise his voice as Takeo Masaki from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Gandalf and Albus Dumbledore in Lego Dimensions, and even the Professor across loads of The Powerfuff Girls shows.

Mary Faber – Crystal/Medusa

The character with the cute teleporting dog, Crystal appears pretty early on in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and she is played by Mary Faber. In terms of video game work, there’s not a lot you’ll know Faber from. She is Jean DeWolff, She-Hulk, and Spider-Girl in Marvel Heroes and un-named roles in games like GTA V, but little beyond that. Where you’re more likely to know her from is Parks and Recreation, in which she played Kathryn Pinewood. She also plays Medusa in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, who she has played in Marvel TV shows before.

Johnny Yong Bosch – Iron Fist

While Johnny Yong Bosch is known for playing characters in a load of anime shows and people like Mortal Kombat X’s Kung Jin in video games, you’ll likely know him as one character in particular. He is Nero in the recent Devil May Cry Games. In Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, he plays Iron Fist.

You may recognise her as Erwina Prowley in Rage 2, Sherri Woodhouse in Far Cry 5, Christa and Anna in Telltale’s The Walking Dead, and Jessica Jones in Marvel Strike Force. She plays Storm in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

David Kaye – Corvus Glaive/Mysterio/Vision

David Kaye is one of the few members of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s voice cast who plays both heroes and villains as you’ll hear his voice whenever Corvus Glaive, Mysterio, or Vision appear. He often plays characters with quite robotic or distorted voices, such as Narrator or computer in TV shows, and robot characters in video games. You may know him as J.A.R.V.I.S in a load of Marvel games, Dr. Swineheart in The Wolf Among Us, and most notably, Clank in the Ratchet and Clank games.
