Games With Gold

Gold subscribers have four exciting free games to look forward to this month, including the retro action platformer Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which is low-key one of the better games you’ll find in the series.

If you were a fan of the naval ship combat in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Rogue might be worth looking into. In addition to that, Super Bomberman R and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy will also be available for free this month.

While it’s not exactly the best Bomberman game we’ve ever played, Super Bomberman R is still a decent title for co-op play. And hey, if it’s free, who are we to complain?

You can check out all the free games available via Games with Gold for February 2019 down below:

  • Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
  • Assassin’s Creed Rogue
  • Super Bomberman R
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Knight Academy

PS Plus

Sony also has a very attractive offering of free games up for grabs this month. The two headlining titles for February 2019 are For Honor and the first season of IO Interactive’s Hitman. Since its launch, Ubisoft has made a great number of improvements to For Honor, including dedicated servers and some balance tweaks. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s a decent PvP-focused title with deep melee combat to learn.

In addition to that, PS3 users will also get Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for free. It’s probably not worth looking into if you aren’t already somewhat invested in the MGS series, but MGS4 helps to wrap up Solid Snake’s story in a tidy way that’s nothing short of awesome. Also, this was where the nanomachines meme was born, in case you were interested in that.

Aside from all the free games, Sony is also offering discounts on popular PSVR titles like Resident Evil 7, Borderlands 2 VR, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

You can check out all the free games available via PS Plus for February 2019 down below:

  • For Honor
  • Hitman
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
  • Divekick
  • Gunhouse
  • Rogue Aces

Steam

free games

As always, Steam also sees an influx of free-to-play games each month, and we’ve picked out a few that might be worth checking out in February.

Feditor is essentially a Twitch/YouTuber streamer simulator, where you’re tasked with keeping your viewers entertained and editing your footage while also managing your other daily activities. It sounds pretty similar to YouTubers Life, which released a few years ago.

Supremacy 1914 is a grand strategy game set during the World War I period. Players will take control of a nation and attempt to build up their economy and develop new technology in order to take on their other opponents in the world. The game includes online multiplayer, and will also feature multiple story scenarios that you can play through.

Lastly, Rogue Reaper is an action fantasy game where players will assume the role of the daughter of the grim reaper, in an attempt to discover the cause of a plague during the Dark Ages. With too many people dying, her father’s workload has increased dramatically, so it’s up to his daughter to try to stem the flow a little.
