5 Crazy Super Mario Maker 2 Glitches That Lead to Hilarious & Creative Results

The Black Hole Glitch

Recommended Videos

By going past the creation limit that Nintendo sets for Mario Maker 2 players in the course creation mode, you can make a black hole appear that makes objects and items act very differently from how they’re supposed to act.

You can overlap pipes, make enemies appear out of thin air to troll players (don’t do that), make arrows spin out of control, stack multiple fire bars over one another and many more crazy things.

The process isn’t too difficult to pull off, but you can watch the video up above that comes from Icay if you want more details.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to save any created levels that have this glitch in it as it will be marked as a corrupt stage.

But, you can still play the stage in the creative mode and try it out for yourself or subject your closest friends to the worst kind of torture –the Mario Maker kind.

Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy

Another glitch documented by icay above, by placing a couple of doors, conveyor belts, and enemies in the right spot, this glitch will turn the game into a psychedelic trip of a lifetime that can blur everything and make it feel as if you are losing your mind.

By doing this one in a vertical sub-area, it can even break the game even more as you can see in the video above –simply put, it breaks the heck out of your game.

Although it’s a mess, it’s still somehow quite entertaining to watch as Mario enters a nightmare scenario full of flying Bowsers, millions of coins, and overlapping images –wait until you see how the 3D World-style looks in this glitch.

Send Luigi to His… Home Planet?

This Super Mario Maker 2 glitch documented above by Game Explain isn’t that crazy or hard to pull off but it’s just really funny. All you have to do is create a small enclosed space and then use Luigi in his catsuit.

By doing a long jump in this small space, he just flies up into the air — I see why Luigi does nothing all of the time because when he actually does do something, this is what happens.

It doesn’t work with any of the other characters for some unknown reason but just watch the video above if you want to see it in action.

Yoshi’s Breaking Back

We all know that Yoshi is used a riding companion for Mario and friends, just a green dinosaur thing that helps with traversal and defeating enemies, but what happens when you try to load Yoshi with too much weight? Well, it breaks the game… and Yoshi’s back probably.

This glitch, documented again by Game Explain actually existed in the original Super Mario Maker game as well but it seems to be back.

If you place a fire flower above a Yoshi egg and then have Mario jump on his back with a spring in hand, it seems the game doesn’t register what’s going on, causing the game to crash… hard.

Slow Down Time

There are several weird Super Mario Maker 2 glitches in this round-up video from Ceave Gaming but I just want to show you guys the first one that he goes over in the video.

By making Mario go through a door and run into a spiny (those spiky-shelled enemies) immediately, he will not only freeze in place, but every enemy in the stage will freeze, causing Mario to stop the game in its track.

There’s also a mod in the video that shows you how to create flying Chain Chomps and another that makes the Boom Boom boss fly around like a raging helicopter –it’s wild.
