The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for more than 7 months already, but fans in the mod community keep adding in the most zany of characters mods. With Super Mario Odyssey hot on the market right now on the Switch, we weren’t surprised when a mod popped up, showing gameplay of a playable Mario with his trusty pal, Cappy.
A YouTuber by the name of WilianZilv uploaded footage of the mod in action onto his YouTube channel. You can see a weird-looking Mario running around throwing Cappy as if he was a boomerang, which he basically is in Breath of the Wild. WilianZilv noted in the video description that, “Zerq and i made some changes in the distance and the curve it does for this boomerang. That means now it’s possible not only to make visual mods, but custom behaviors for weapons!”
This mod is really something delightful to see, especially with Odyssey just recently coming out. We only hope that more and more mods release with not only visual changes but gameplay alterations as well. You can watch the mod in action in the video down below:
