Let’s Build a Zoo, a retro style zoo management simulator from No More Robots and developer Springloaded, was announced earlier this year, and it finally has a release date. The game will launch next month on Nov. 5.
What makes Let’s Build a Zoo unique from other zoo management simulators is that there are over 300,000 different types of animals you can have in the game. This is possible through DNA splicing, creating wacky hybrid species. For example, you can combine a chicken and a cow to create a chickow.
The game also features a deep morality system, letting you choose between good and evil when deciding how to run your zoo.
Of course, like in most zoo management simulators, you can hire staff, adjust prices, and a wide variety of other options to make your zoo the best it can be. There’s full customization of your zoo’s layout, animal enclosures, and decorations.
Here’s how the official Let’s Build a Zoo website describes the game:
Let’s Build a Zoo lets you import a variety of animals from other Zoos around the world! Breed your animals and start families to expand your wildlife and fill your enclosures. But if that doesn’t suit you… you could just create animals instead! With DNA splicing at your finger tips, you have the power to bind together over 300,000 different types of animal, creating monstrosities and oddities as you go! Ever wondered what a ChicKaka would look like? Now you can find out!
If you’re interested in Let’s Build a Zoo, it releases on PC on Nov. 5 for $19.99, and you can take advantage of a 10% launch discount by purchasing early on Steam.
