Developed by Norsfell and published by Gearbox, Tribes of Midgard is a new co-op multiplayer action game that allows you to team up with nine other players to defend your village and the Seed of Yggdrasil from dangerous Helthings and Jotunns. The game will feel relatively easy at first, but the Helthings will get stronger as the game goes on, and you’ll need some extra defenses to hold them back. Here’s how to build village gates in Tribes of Midgard.
Building Village Gates in Tribes of Midgard
Gates can be extremely useful during Helthing invasions as they’ll hold off your enemies outside the village, preventing them from entering to attack the Seed of Yggdrasil. This allows you to buy more time to prepare during an invasion, and if a Jotunn happens to reach your village, they’ll also be held off outside.
To build a gate, you’ll need Wrought Iron, Cut Stone, and Wooden Boards, which are all high level materials obtained from the Tinker. We’ve got a guide listing all the materials you need here in order to obtain the resources for a gate, but essentially, you’ll need to spend 750 Souls to get the Tinker to level 3. Then, you’ll need to farm stones, iron, and wood in the open-world, and convert them into the high level materials required for the gate.
Alternatively, if you see any wooden gates blocking your path in the open-world, you can also destroy them with regular attacks to obtain resources.
Back at the village, head to the east, west, or south sides of the village and press the LB or L1 button to build a gate. Press the X or A button to deposit all your resources, then confirm your selection and build the gate. Once a gate has been built, you can press the X or A button to open or close it to allow for easier access.
Once a gate has been destroyed, you’ll need to rebuild it by gathering resources again.
That’s all you need to know about how to build village gates in Tribes of Midgard. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
