Genshin Impact: How to Change to Japanese Voice & Audio Tracks

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Like other games with an anime aesthetic, Genshin Impact may cause you some auditory dissonance if you’re playing it with the English dub active. As such, you wouldn’t be blamed for wanting to switch up its audio to be more in line with what you’d expect to hear; namely, a Japanese dub with English subtitles. That’s why we’re here to walk you through how to change to Japanese voice and audio tracks in Genshin Impact.

How to Change to Japanese Voice and Audio Tracks in Genshin Impact

Changing to the Japanese voice and audio tracks in Genshin Impact is fairly easy to do, and you can do so as soon as you finish the game’s opening cutscene.

All you have to do is open the main menu by pressing the Options Button and then scroll down to the Settings tab with the left analogue stick. Then, scroll down to the Language setting and select it.

From there, you can select what you want the game’s text and voiceover to be displayed as. In terms of the voiceover, you can choose between setting it to English, Chinese, Korean, or – you guessed it – Japanese.

Select the voiceover you wish to have applied to the game, and wait until you get a message stating that some language options might not be applied until you restart the game. Once it does, exit out of the menu. If the characters are speaking in your selected language, you’re good to go. If they aren’t, simply restart the game and your preferred settings should be applied.

And that’s all there is to it really. Hopefully this helped you figure out how to change to Japanese voice and audio tracks in Genshin Impact with minimal hassle.
