The game is based on the extremely popular local novel Journey to the West but comes with beautifully realistic graphics made in Unreal Engine 4 to complement its action RPG gameplay.

Game Science is actually a quite small team and made the reveal in order to attract experienced developers on its official website.

At the moment the plan is to release on PC and all mainstream consoles and cloud platforms able to run the game smoothly.

While it’ll be a stand-alone purchase, the developers don’t rule out DLC.

There is no release window announced for the moment, but according to the team, it “shouldn’t take 500 years,” but they want to be satisfied as gamers before they commit to a date.

Below you can see the first screenshot, artwork, and a collection of short clips of Black Myth: Wu Kong. You can also take a look at the gameplay trailer released yesterday.

According to the developers, they’re currently not fully satisfied with the quality of the experience for now, and they’re concerned about content production efficiency, which is why they’re looking to hire many experienced developers to join the team.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
