Mecha Knights: Nightmare developer Damian Kubiak released a new video of his solo-developed mecha game, and as usual, it’s quite impressive.
This time around, we get another look at the mech customization UI that is being refined to be more user-friendly and functional.
The game appears to have massive potential for letting you create just the giant robot you want, and you can drop plenty of weapons and parts on the battlefield, on top of salvaging it from disabled vehicles.
Last, but certainly not least, we catch a glimpse of the campaign, which will be narrated via the diary of the protagonist.
You can watch the video below.
Set in 2049, Mecha Knights: Nightmare depicts a scenario in which monsters of unknown origin have appeared on Earth, and they’re gradually pishing humanity back.
Among the sources of inspiration, its creator cites Armored Core, Front Mission, Earth Defence Force, Resident Evil, Blue Gender, and Muv-Luv. Personally, I can say this makes the project even more promising. Anyone who loves Muv-Luv and Blue Gender is good in my book.
The release window listed on Steam is fall 2020. At the moment, no other platforms have been mentioned.
If you want to see more, you can enjoy the first video of the series and the second.
