How to Level Up Your Community in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 may have been out for quite a while on Nintendo Switch, but it’s getting the biggest piece of additional content yet with the full-blown story expansion Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Age. This expansion comes as a standalone experience and takes place 500 years before the main game, following the story of Jin, Lora, and the other heroes that fought against Malos as he tried to destroy the world. While the expansion uses most of the same systems and mechanics, there are a few changes made to combat and other areas. In particular, is something called your “Community Level” which sees Lora and the party building a community by helping out those in need. Raising your Community Level grants you access to more sidequests and other bonuses, so here’s how to level up your Community.

Helping those in need ties directly into the idea of Community as well as how you level it up. This system essentially takes the place of the Development Level in the main game. For the most part, the only way to level up Community is by completing sidequests, marked with blue question marks on your map. Completing a sidequest will add that person to your Community, and can oftentimes add more than one person. Later on in the game, there will be certain characters you can add to your Community simply by talking to them, and these characters are marked by a yellow smiley face next to their name.

Doing sidequests is absolutely recommended in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna. It’s the easiest way to level up your characters and rewards you with gold and items. At a certain point in the story you’ll be required to raise your Community to level 2 anyway, so you might as well be doing sidequests as you go.

That’s all you need to know about leveling up your community in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna. For even more tips, tricks, and guides on the new expansion make sure to search Twinfinite.
