How to Upgrade Weapons in The Walking Dead Our World

The Walking Dead Our World is an augmented reality (AR) game that recently released for Android and iOS smartphones. Similar to Pokemon Go, you are the player character on screen in that your character will walk wherever you walk. The map is also based on the real world using real life locations, since the game is powered by Google Maps.

The game focuses on shooting multiple types of zombies and raiders in the head, instead of capturing little creatures in Pokemon Go. You will need an armory of weapons to fight off the undead hordes, and there are plenty of pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, and shotguns to choose from.

At some point, the weapons by themselves are not going to cut it anymore. The zombies will shake off your bullets and critical headshots once you reach a certain level. That is the time to start upgrading weapons.

Once you have obtained weapons from randomly completing missions, you can view all of your owned weapons in the collection tab that is second to the left on the bottom menu bar. Once in the collection tab, tap on any weapon to see more detailed stats like damage and weapon mods (unlocked after reaching level 5). If you can upgrade a weapon, there should be a long green button that says “Upgrade” along with a coin cost.

You receive random hero, weapon, and perk cards after every completed mission or event. Many will be duplicates, and those are necessary to upgrade a certain weapon. You will get coins after some events, and that is also required to upgrade a weapon. Once you have the appropriate amount of duplicates and coins for a particular weapon, hit the green button in the detailed weapon menu to upgrade it to the next level and higher stats.
