How to Jump in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

Mass Effect Andromeda adds a bit more verticality to the series, as well as a mechanic to help you take advantage of the new designs. When out exploring planets, your armor is equipped with a jump-jet which allows you to… well, jump. This makes it possible to reach higher places, or to hover so you can rain hell down upon your enemies.

Jumping is a simple action. To do so while playing Mass Effect Andromeda simply press X on the DualShock 4 or A on a Xbox controller. This will give you a quick burst of energy into the air allowing you to jump over pesky obstacles. If you’re feeling inclined to do so, you can also hold down L2/LT to aim which will allow you to hover in place for a bit.

That’s all there is to it. It’s simple, but it opens up Mass Effect in new ways. So make sure to try to jump to every higher ledge you come across. You never know just what you may come across on your adventures.
