Track Game Time – Nintendo Switch
There’s something neat about being able to see the amount of time you’ve poured into a game as your reflect on all of your in-game achievements. It’s something that some games keep a timer for, but not every single one does it. Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch actually does track game time, but there’s a bit of a caveat to it.
If you tap on your profile icon in the top left-hand corner of the Switch’s home screen, you’ll see a list of your games. Currently, for most people, this will simply just show when they first played their games. However, after one week, it will switch to show the total number of hours played.
Unfortunately, the Switch doesn’t have any fancy bar charts or diagrams to allow you to compare tracked game time against other titles as there was in the 3DS’ Activity Log. This simply tells you the total number of hours played for each title, and that’s it. Of course, there’s always a chance that Nintendo could add an Activity Log to help track game time and statistics in a future update, but there has been no official word on this as of yet.
