Permadeath – Fire Emblem Heroes
The Fire Emblem franchise has always been known for its tough stance on character deaths. In Fire Emblem games of the past, if one of your characters died in battle, they were dead permanently. As players hop into Nintendo’s latest mobile game, Fire Emblem Heroes, they’re bound to wonder if the permadeath feature has returned.
Luckily for those who don’t enjoy killing their allies, there is no permadeath in Fire Emblem heroes. If your hero dies during a scenario, they will be just fine afterwards, and ready for another fray. You don’t even have to heal them. Simply exit a fight to place all your heroes back to full health.
There are consequences to dying in general, of course. If all of your heroes fall during a match, you’ll have lost the encounter and will have to attempt it again. Though, it’s at least comforting to know if you fall flat on your face, the heroes you’ve worked so hard to gather won’t be lost to the merciless clutches of permadeath.
