During Square Enix’s E3 press conference, more details were revealed on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
The game will be taking advantage of a new game engine called Dawn Engine which has allowed Square Enix and the team at Eidos Montreal to bring a ton of enhancements to the gameplay of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Mankind Divided will take place 2 years after the human revolution and will see the return of Jensen. However he and the world he inhabits, have completely changed. In 2029, Augmented Humans like Jensen are now the outcasts of the world and are hated by a majority of people. Augmented Humans are now considered terrorists and have been forced out of the city, force to live in ghettos. Eidos Montreal call this a mechanical apartheid.
Jensen is not living in one of these ghettos however, instead he is part of Task Force 29 who are investigating and stopping terrorist attacks across the world. Jensen also has a side job as a covert double agent. He believes that a group of men and women called the Illuminati are using the terrorists for their own benefit and personal game.
We also got a few brief details on one of the attachments that Adam Jensen will have in Mankind Divided. In the form of an attachment on his arm, Jensen will be able to fire blades from a distance at his enemies. Sounds pretty sweet to me.
Finally Eidos Montreal detailed that player decisions will effect the end and outcome of the story of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. They’re also aiming to make one of the best Action-RPG experiences available to players.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set to release early 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
